The Lost Stars is a series of science fiction novels written by John G. Hemry under the pen-name Jack Campbell. The series consists of 4 novels, of which the first was published in 2012, and the last was published in 2016. The Lost Stars is a spin-off of The Lost Fleet. The events of this spin-off series take place alongside The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier.
The Lost Stars details the events following the ending of the Alliance-Syndicate war as Syndicate Authority begins to collapse many star systems start breaking out into Civil War, as more systems start breaking away seeking autonomy two of Midway Star Systems CEO's, Gwen Iceni and Ground Forces commander Artur Drakon, lead a full scale revolt gaining control of the Midway Star System and a small force of warships. However this newly independent star system has many threats besieging them, Syndicate Mobile Forces trying to re-establish Syndicate control in the region, Local Warlords seeking to build their own empires, and the Enigma Aliens, determined to take control of human territory, at all costs.
