SWCC-10735 happened to be transiting through the Kane System when President Iceni's Flotilla arrived to capture the Battleship B-78, after the Snakes destroyed the system's Mobile Forces facility, President Iceni ordered the SWCC-10735 to go and transport the survivors to the main inhabited planet, the merchant ship's Senior Controller was initially hesitant but was convinced to pick up the survivors by threats of using the firepower of the Mobile Units in the system on the Freighter. Light Cruiser CL-187 which remained in the system to pick some people on the inhabited planet offered to make sure the freighter delivered the survivors unharmed in exchange for free transit to Cadez through Midway's Hypernet gate.
