The Midway Revolution is a battle between Midway Revolutionaries led by CEO's Artur Drakon and Gwen Iceni against the Syndicate Worlds for complete Independence in the Midway system, This is one conflict among many in the Syndicate Civil-War but the first on the Midway Front.
Prelude[]
Following the First Battle of Midway, CEO Gwen Iceni, having lost faith in the Syndicate system after they left Midway Defenceless by moving the Reserve Flotilla to deal with the Alliance Fleet, began looking towards throwing off the chains of the Syndicate to build something new and better able to defend itself against the Enigma's. While she began prepping CEO Artur Drakon, the Ground Forces commander in the system, began his own plans to revolt against the Syndicate which led to them both discovering each other's plans and them agreeing to work together.
Not long after the Alliance First Fleet passed through the system on a mission into Enigma Space a message from the Syndicate Executive council was received for the CEO's of the system to be recalled for "Loyalty Tests", knowing that neither Herself or Drakon would pass such tests they managed to hold the communication from going through for a while, while they stepped up their plans. Unfortunately another message was received for CEO Kolani to take all mobile assets in the system towards Prime, this action would leave both the Midway system and the rest of the region defenceless against another Enigma attack, Iceni was also able to block this message from going through but both CEO's knew it wouldn't hold for long and so began putting their plans into motion.
Battle[]
Ground Battles[]
Under the command of CEO Artur Drakon the Ground Forces were split into 5-6 Assault forces, 3 assault forces under the commands of Sub-CEO's Donel Rogero, Connor Gaiene and Sub-CEO Kai, were sent to attack major ISS subcomplexes on the planet, While the assault forces under Sub-CEO's Bran Malin and Roh Morgan would attack the main ISS base alongside CEO Drakon.
The Assault on the main ISS complex began with Assault Force One opening fire on the snakes patrolling the complex while breaching teams fired clearing rounds to destroy the double-layered fence and destroying the mines between the fences while other teams destroyed the security towers. EMPs were fired over the attackers but proved useless against Military gear. After blowing a hole into the main complex itself Drakon's force were met with high-intensity fire indicting they had encountered a Viper strongpoint, Drakon orders Second Squad to take fire and return fire to keep the Vipers busy while the rest of the forces headed north with him.
After leading the rest of his forces into a building Drakon brought up floor plans of the building into his helmet's display, he then hit the floor after encountering defensive fire and then then ordered EMPs and concealment fire towards the defenders and for Combat engineer team Sigma to blow a hole in the floor around the corner. His forces then began dropping down to the next floor while the concealment charges covered the Vipers sensors. As they moved through the next level CEO Hardrad tried to bluff Drakon into surrendering, claiming Iceni gave him the codes needed to set off the Nukes under the planet, Drakon not believing him pressed on.
At this point Sub-CEO Morgon reports that the floor she's on is clear, Drakon orders her to send a few platoons to clear the upper floors and then bring the rest down with her to assist his forces, Drakon then gets a hit in his shoulder, knocking him down while his soldiers kept firing at the vipers. Sub-CEO Malin then arrives and asks Drakon if he's alright and that he has two squads left, Drakon informs him he's got most of three squads left and orders Malin to try and break into the main command center from overhead.
As they near the command center they feel and hear an explosion coming from the direction of the command center, they detect armored units heading their way they hold they're position while they fire on the incoming snakes. After dealing with the snakes they enter the command center only to find several dead snakes, soldiers and Sub-CEO Morgan who then reports that all resistance has bean neutralized. She tells Drakon the combat engineers that were with her rigged six breaching charges to blast they're way through the ceiling allowing Morgan to jump down and Kill all the snakes in the room, including CEO Hardrad, who was only three minutes from being able to detonate the Nukes under the cities on the planet.
Having secured the main ISS Command center Drakon orders a full sweep of Hardrad's office to see what they can recover, at this point Rogero, Gaiene and Kai all subcomplexes had been taken and that minor ISS stations were being overrun, CEO Drakon, now in control of the planet, begins making changes in the Ground Forces, starting by replacing the corporate rank structure with Military Rank's, General Drakon then makes all five of his Sub-CEO's Colonels as they wait to hear from CEO Iceni.
Space Battle[]
CEO Iceni took command of Midway's Mobile Forces under the guise of conducting a surprise inspection of C-448, shortly after arriving CEO Drakon began his part of his revolt and ISS CEO Hardrad gave an order for Iceni to be returned to the planet immediately. Unbeknownst to Sub-CEO Akiri, C-448's commander, Executive Asima Marphissa was already prepared to take down the snakes escorting Iceni, after dealing with the snakes on board the three of them made their way to the cruiser's main control citadel.
The main force under Iceni's control consisted of three Heavy Cruisers, one Light Cruiser and four Hunter-Killers while the force under CEO Kolani consisted of Heavy Cruisers C-990 and C-818, three Light Cruisers and for HuKs, while a third group of ships consisting of heavy cruiser C-625, a single light cruiser and the remaining four HuKs sat near the mobile forces facility. After the ships in Iceni's reported in that all ISS agents were neutralised CEO Iceni sent a demand to Kolani to either submit to her Authority or surrender, after briefly contemplating bombarding known ISS sites from orbit Iceni then receives a demand for her surrender from Kolani, Iceni then orders Akiri to bring her ships to full combat readiness, but just as the orders go out the ship is briefly attacked by a virus to activate the ISS systems that the crew had already purged.
After receiving a brief message from General Drakon that his part of the plan was successful, Iceni discusses what they should do with Akiri and Marphissa, Marphissa then suggests going in hard and fast, a clean straight-on firing run just like they were trained to do, after briefly discussing the classified actions and observed tactics of "Black Jack" Geary Iceni orders her force to intercept, ordering all units to accelerate to point one light speed and alter course to port three two degrees at time one four. After being informed that Kolani's force has steadied out at point one light speed Akiri asks if they should set C-990 as the priority target, Iceni then responds that she will enter the target priority at the last moment herself to avoid Kolani somehow finding out beforehand.
While waiting to close on the enemy mobile units Sub-CEO Akiri tries to convince Iceni to just left Kolani leave, a sentiment which Executive Marphissa disagreed with, Iceni tries to alleviate Akiri's concerns while also informing him that Kolani can't surrender as that would be an admission of failure, Kolani then sends another surrender demand, but this time to everyone on Iceni's ships. Iceni then gives a speech stating how the Syndicate system has failed and now Midway is free of the ISS and how they have the backing of "Black Jack" Geary, before then finishing her speach by shouting "For the People!". a line worker then reports twenty minutes to contact.
At ten minutes to contact Iceni asks Marphissa her opinion on the maneuvers and if she could time them properly, she states that she can do them. At five minutes to contact all ships have fully powered up awaiting targeting orders, at two minutes contact Iceni enters and triple checks her targeting priorities, as Kolani's force fires missiles, Iceni orders defensive fire only, as they clear away the missiles Iceni's force then Target's and cripples C-818's main propulsion. Iceni then orders all ship's come up one one zero degrees and then have ships ready to target C-990 as they await Kolani's force altering heading to reengage them. As they are seconds from contact two of Kolani's light cruisers and three of her HuKs begin pulling away from contact, as they pass each other C-990 takes heavy damage, losing all power and launching two of its escape pods, Iceni then submits another surrender demand to all ships which all ships in Kolani's force then promptly accept, including C-818 which then informs them that the mobile unit's commander, Sub-CEO Kransy, is dead.
Iceni then orders a probe sent over to C-990 to discover what happened to its crew, they see images of bodies killed by both hell-lance fire and infighting. As the probe reaches the bridge they find the body of CEO Kolani surrounded by nothing but vacuum, unfortunately the probe trips a trap and causes a core overload destroying the ship.

Aftermath[]
In the aftermath of the battles Midway became a fully independent star system, Both Ground Forces and the Flotilla reverted to using Military Ranks instead of the corporate structure used under the Syndicate.
