- For the admiral in command of Invincible, see Lagemann.
“ | But if the Syndics do prove to be hostile, and if any of them get past Merlon, those transports will need Pommel and the destroyers. That's where your duty lies. | ” |
Lieutenant Commander Lagemann was an Alliance officer that served the Alliance Navy at the beginning of the Alliance-Syndicate War.
Biography[]
Prior to the start of the war, Commander Lagemann was placed in command of the light cruiser Pommel. At one point, Pommel was ordered to escort a military convoy making its way through Grendel to T'shima. While in the convoy, he was under the command of Commander John Geary on the heavy cruiser Merlon.
When a Syndicate flotilla arrived in Grendel to launch a surprise attack on the Alliance, Merlon had no choice but to detach from the convoy to engage the enemy. Lagemann requested to follow Merlon into the battle, forming a united front, but Commander Geary refused, arguing that even together they did not have enough firepower against the Syndics. Placed in command of the convoy, Lagemann continued to follow orders and was able to make his way to T'shima, where he alerted Alliance forces of the incoming invasion.[1]
