C-835 was a Syndicate heavy cruiser destroyed by the stolen battle cruiser D-555.

History of service[]

C-835 was responsible for transferring a CEO to her new battle cruiser that she was to command. However, shortly before their arrival in the Augusta system, the battle cruiser was stolen through the joint efforts of the rogue Tigres and freed Alliance prisoners of war. The CEO, enraged by the theft, ordered the crew to attack the battle cruiser. While at first the odds seemed to be in their favor, with the battle cruiser having low shields and only five weapon emplacements online, the Alliance sailors were able to force the remaining systems to activate and overwhelmed C-835 with its superior firepower.

With the ship disabled and 30% of the crew dead, the workers wished to abandon ship, but the CEO refused, opening fire on them as they fled. One of the workers was able to shoot and kill the CEO and, with the Snakes overwhelmed, the workers successfully made it to the escape pods and ejected into space. Afterward, Captain Geary ordered the battle cruiser to shoot and destroy C-835, but left the escape pods intact and unharmed.

Notes and references[]

  • There it is some discrepancy about the C-835's crew's survival and the ship's destruction. In the comic the D-555 destroyed the cruiser, leaving alone the escape pods; in the novelization the C-835 self-destructed, implied to be for the ISS's Option Armageddon, and that all of the escape pods were destroyed too.
