Augusta is an isolated Syndicate star system.
History[]
Augusta was a system located somewhere in the fringes of Syndicate space. It had a single jump point leading to Ravana star system, and lacked a hypernet gate or even inhabitable planets. It was said to have a least one world, but it was a desert one.
Somewhere during the Alliance-Syndicate War, or right after, the system's lack of importance made it attractive to the Syndicate, who built there a prison for Alliance prisoners, orbiting the desert planet. It housed a mix of Alliance Fleet personnel, Alliance ground forces and marines. The reason to locate them there, a secret prison, was unknown: some, such as Captain Michael Geary, were high value prisoners which existence wasn't recognized. Others, such as Lieutenant Bailey, were mid-level officers and the rest, apparently, were common prisoners.
The facility was led by CEO Bezrukof, had some ISS forces, and also Syndicate ground troops. After the Syndicate decided to destroy the orbital facility, killing all Alliance prisoners, Destina Aragon, leader of the ground troops, decided to mutiny. After killing all Snakes, stealing the D-555 and freeing the Alliance prisoners, they departed, destroying the facility.
During their escape, the D-555 faced and destroyed the cruiser C-835 before departing, leaving the system behind without any inhabitants.
