Captain Armus is an officer in the Alliance Navy, the commander of the battleship Colossus and of the Tenth Battleship Division within the Alliance Fleet and later the Alliance First Fleet. Armus has a reputation as a straightforward and capable commander. Though he is unafraid to challenge Captain John Geary and his orders during fleet conferences, Armus has nevertheless proven himself to be thoroughly reliable, and his courage and ability in battle have earned him the grudging respect of Captain Geary as a sort of loyal opposition. When it became clear in the Lakota system that one of Geary's subordinates was orchestrating a plot against him, Armus was initially a suspect, but was quickly ruled out due to his blunt and straightforward nature.
Armus is considered slow and deliberate by Geary. He is one of the fleet's most dependable and steady officers though.
